50GB free cloud storage from Dropbox? After our 18GB post and then the 25GB post, here comes a post about the possibility of getting 50GB of free cloud storage! There is huge catch though, unlike the previous options, the 50GB is linked with a high end purchase. If you search the internet about 50GB dropbox and samsung, you will get many links connecting the recent launch of Samsung Galaxy S3 in UK and statements about the free 2 year 50GB storage from Dropbox for the phone owners. It is interesting to note that no where in the press release Samsung mentioned about the 50GB deal. We were unable to find an official document that points to this deal, but from what we can gather from the prominent news sources, this may be an accurate statement considering UK and European customers of Samsung Galaxy S3. Will the United States customers will be getting this deal or not is something we will have to wait and see.

In a recent article, TechCrunch today discussed the Q1 2012 ad data released by InMobi. There are few interesting points about Nokia and Windows phone that can help us point to the future of Windows and mobile world. Or rather Nokia/Windows partnership and how that can impact iOS and android markets. With about 35% of market share in the global device market, Nokia has a dominating position which it can utilize with Windows 8 in the coming months. 

With the dominance in hand in Operating systems, Microsoft can still claim more developers willing to develop products using their platform. Combine this with the large market share of Nokia, the Microsoft/Nokia partnership can be a serious threat to the iOS/android dominated mobile market in the coming months and years. We consider this data in line with what we wrote earlier about Windows 8 and mobile innovation.
