After our 18GB post and then the 25GB post, here comes a post about the possibility of getting 50GB of free cloud storage! There is huge catch though, unlike the previous options, the 50GB is linked with a high end purchase. If you search the internet about 50GB dropbox and samsung, you will get many links connecting the recent launch of Samsung Galaxy S3 in UK and statements about the free 2 year 50GB storage from Dropbox for the phone owners. It is interesting to note that no where in the press release Samsung mentioned about the 50GB deal. We were unable to find an official document that points to this deal, but from what we can gather from the prominent news sources, this may be an accurate statement considering UK and European customers of Samsung Galaxy S3. Will the United States customers will be getting this deal or not is something we will have to wait and see.

With google’s entry into the online free cloud storage market, for the end user there are many options to choose from. Especially if you are starting to experiment with free online cloud storage, the options with more storage space free will look more attractive. We explained how you can get free 18GB storage from dropboxearlier. This article will explain how you can get free 25 GB of cloud storage! Yes, 25GB for free. There is a catch though – many of you are hotmail users who won’t even login to hotmail these days. If you are one who had hotmail for years, and occationally signed in in the past years, and noticed the changes might accidently had Microsoft’s skydrive activated already. If you are one of these, you can get free 25GB from Microsoft’s online cloud storage today.

Go to Skydrive’s home page and then login using your hotmail credentials. If you see the following message you are set to go.

Click on the claim link and you will be taken to the following screen. Now you have free 25 GB of online cloud storage!

In a recent article, TechCrunch today discussed the Q1 2012 ad data released by InMobi. There are few interesting points about Nokia and Windows phone that can help us point to the future of Windows and mobile world. Or rather Nokia/Windows partnership and how that can impact iOS and android markets. With about 35% of market share in the global device market, Nokia has a dominating position which it can utilize with Windows 8 in the coming months.

With the dominance in hand in Operating systems, Microsoft can still claim more developers willing to develop products using their platform. Combine this with the large market share of Nokia, the Microsoft/Nokia partnership can be a serious threat to the iOS/android dominated mobile market in the coming months and years. We consider this data in line with what we wrote earlier about Windows 8 and mobile innovation.

Controlling your house hold electronics while you are away is not a new idea that you have heard. These technologies are in the preliminary stage and will continue to grow in innovation in the coming days. Along the same thinking we know that there are already power line adapters

ZyXEL PLA407 HomePlug AV 200 Mbps Powerline Wall-Plug Adapter (Starter Kit – 2 Units)

that converts your electrical outlets into network points. So let us consider a system which connects to all your household electrical outlets, which can hibernate for a long time with a small inbuilt battery, can be accessed via remotely. Once you have this setup, you can easily connect with this device and then wake up the device for further commands. If this device can be used to turn on/off all your electrical outlets and devices then it would be awesome. You can then even save on your electrical devices that is connected to the outlets but are on standby. Add your comments if you know of any such devices that are in action or know of any companies or startups working on implementing further innovation in this domain.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Internet technology news gets wide audience as always. We have several sites covering all sorts of news, including famous news sites to blogs like <a href="http://infotechideas.com/" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">infotechideas.com<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">. We also have solutions like hacker news, lamernews etc to get user submitted news. The perfect solution would be a user driven site with links, articles or discussions which are personalized and searchable. Categorized news where one can search new site introductions and existing famous sites will always help out an internet enthusiastic or an academically curious individual to find the perfect news. One of the interesting sites created using the same format but handling bit different data can be found here. The common factor in all these sites is the ability of the end user to vote up and down a given news item. If a new provider can add features like search/selection process as well as personalization, then we will get the perfect match for a news finder site for technology niche.

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">13″ Tablet? Yes, Toshiba is presenting innovation in the form of size! When many other tablet makers thinking of introducing lower sized tablets of their existing 10″ series, Toshiba is thinking differently by announcing a 13″ version of their excite model. How is the consumer going to accept this news? Will this 13″ tablet version will compete with normal tablet buyers alone or also with ultra book enthusiasts?

Toshiba Thrive 10.1-Inch 16 GB Android Tablet AT105-T1016

Technology experts thinking that 13″ is too big size for a tablet are not thinking ahead of consumers minds. When Samsung came with Galaxy Note with 5.3″ screen, these were the same folks who said it was a mistake in the phone market? Just because so far they only concentrated on iphone? Yes, they had to change their opinion after they realized the consumer mind is bigger than they can visualize! What Toshiba did here is an innovation, not via features, but via size. Lets see how the tablet consumer world acknowledges that in the future.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; font-size: small;">Nokia Lumia 900 will be a start of upcoming threat to otherwise iphone and android driven smart phone market? Lumia 900 needs to achieve two important missions – rebirth of Nokia and establishing a basic battle field for Microsoft before the ultimate launch of Windows 8 later this year. So far Nokia Lumia got many nice reviews about the phone itself which is a supporting factor for Nokia – the company that is famous for making robust handsets. Since the software is now Windows 7 based, may be people are not expecting too much – they might have the basic intention to upgrade their OS when Windows 8 is live.
